Meet your Florida elopement and wedding photographer
My name is Dorothy, but everyone calls me Dot. I’m originally from South Africa, and in 2023 my husband, our two pups, and I relocated to the sunshine state of Florida. Since then, we’ve added a third sweet angel to our little family.
A fun fact about me is that I’m not only a wedding and elopement photographer but I also work as a documentary videographer and photographer for wild turkey conservation. Before moving to the U.S., I knew almost nothing about turkeys, and now I absolutely love them. Please enjoy a few snippets of my lil chickens (yes, I know they’re turkeys, but I can’t help calling them chickens).
When I’m not photographing weddings or turkeys, you can probably find me floating on my paddle board in the springs, scouting for manatees.
I have always loved photography and the way it lets us preserve moments we can share with our kids and grandkids one day. After getting married two years ago, I truly understand how important your wedding day is and how important it is to capture and protect those memories.
As a kid, I can still remember my mom and my gran showing me photos from their wedding days. My gran has a single photo of her and my grandpa, they got married at the courthouse. I wish there were more, but I’m grateful to have that one. My parents used their own little automatic point-and-shoot camera and had a friend take their photos. I used to love flipping through that old album, imagining what their day must have been like…
Your photos will be the one thing that will allow you to relive your day. I feel a profound responsibility as your photographer: to honor those fleeting seconds and preserve them as they unfold so that one day you can share this heirlooms with your kids and grandchildren like my mom and gran got to share theirs with me. There is something extraordinary about being able to turn a split second into a memory you can hold forever.
If you’re looking for someone who values authenticity over perfection, who notices the quiet gestures as much as they notice the big celebrations, and who is committed to documenting your day with intention and heart you’re in the right place.
I’m here to tell your story the way it deserves to be told: real, honest, and true to you.

Why I do what I do. . .
For me, photography has never been just a craft it’s a calling rooted in service, empathy, and a deep appreciation for the beauty God weaves into everyday ordinary moments. As an Enneagram 2, I’m wired to support others with both heart and creativity. I feel things deeply, I notice what others overlook, and I’m compelled to step in with care wherever I can.
At the end of the day, my “why” is simple:
To serve with love.
To create with intention.
To honor the sacredness of your story.
The work I do is an offering. Its a blend of faith, heart, and artistry and it’s one of the greatest privileges of my life.
